Dear Future Husband,

your eyes may not be the dark blue of the ocean or the everchanging shades of the sky, but to me, there's no beauty in something that I'll never be able to settle firmly on, for the ocean is unstable, and if I don't know how to swim, then I'll drown. And with the sky, I'll float endlessly, straying away from you, losing myself in a journey I'll never find a peaceful end to. But you see, that's why I love your dark brown eyes, the ones that resemble the dirt of the ground, the settlement of life and buildings. At least then, I know something is capable of blooming and standing firmly until destruction, death comes along to settle in.

Sincere with tenderness,

Your future wife.

(P.S. If your eyes aren't brown, and they're rare like the color green, grey, hazel, or amber, just know there's forever beauty in them, as they bring their comfort of stability within my heart, just as much as brown brings to me, and as the color blue brings to the traditional beauty standards of Western cultures.)
